DeSean Jackson misses practice with knee and ankle injuries

ASHBURN, Va. -- Redskins wide receiver DeSean Jackson has knee and ankle injuries that could keep him out of Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Jackson watched practice in street clothes on Wednesday. In Washington's Week 2 loss to Dallas, he finished the game despite feeling soreness starting in the third quarter, coach Jay Gruden said.

Gruden says he had "no idea" of the expectations for Jackson's return, and that "it depends on how he feels" on Thursday and Friday.

The three-time Pro Bowler has caught nine passes for 142 yards in two games this season. Last season, Jackson had four touchdowns and 528 yards receiving despite missing six games with a hamstring injury.
