Aaron Hernandez settles civil lawsuit in Florida

Former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murder Aaron Hernandez has settled a civil lawsuit in Florida with a former associate who claimed that Hernandez shot him in the face, according to court documents filed Friday.

Terms of the settlement with Alexander Bradley were not disclosed.

Bradley alleged that he lost his right eye when Hernandez shot him in the face as they argued outside a Miami club in February 2013.

In August, Bradley was granted immunity for Hernandez's upcoming double-murder trial for the 2012 shooting deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado. Prosecutors say Hernandez opened fire on their car after de Abreu accidentally bumped into Hernandez at a Boston nightclub, spilling Hernandez's drink. Prosecutors have also said Bradley was a passenger in Hernandez's vehicle when Hernandez opened fire on the men.

Hernandez is already serving a life sentence in the 2013 killing of Odin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez's fiancée.
