Although the Colonials were upset by Xavier in the Atlantic 10 championship game and failed to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, George Washington has been a mainstay in the Big Dance over the last decade, advancing to the Elite Eight three years ago. This season, Slovakian junior Petra Dubovcova (12.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg) and senior guard Elisa Aguilar (14.3 ppg, 3.7 apg) of Madrid, Spain, have led the way for the A-10 West Division regular-season champions, who broke into the top 25 late in the season. The Colonials, however, struggled without Dubovcova on the court in the A-10 final -- she fouled out with 6:53 remaining after scoring 20 points -- and a similar scenario could mean trouble this week. Key stat: In seven NCAA Tournament appearances, George Washington has never lost a first-round game.
