BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Tyra Buss scored 15 points and Amanda Cahill added 12 as No. 23 Indiana rolled to a 71-37 win over Presbyterian on Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Presbyterian was up 7-6 midway through the first quarter after Kaycie Reffner drilled a 3-pointer but the Hoosiers went on a 13-2 run to lead a 19-9 after one quarter.

After the Blue Hose closed to seven, Indiana went on another run to lead 38-21 at the half and was not threatened. Cahill had 11 rebounds as Indiana had a 40-18 advantage on the boards.

The Hoosiers shot 56 percent (30 of 54) and limited the Blue Hose to 36 percent (16 of 45) and 19 turnovers.

Buss needs three points to be the fastest Hoosier to reach 1,000 points.

Janie Miles had 12 points for the Blue Hose, who only played seven players and didn't get any points from reserves.
