AUBURN, Alabama (Ticker) -- Carol Smith scored 20 points, Lori Nero added 19 and Tasha Hamilton had 18, carrying 15th-ranked Auburn to an 87-64 victory over Furman.

The Tigers (5-0) shot 64.5 percent (20-of-31) from the field in the second half, when they outscored the Lady Paladins (2-2), 51-30.

LaRita Spencer scored 13 points and dished out eight assists for Auburn, which shot 56 percent (35-of-62) for the game.

Mary Brock led Furman with 14 points, Orion Wake scored 10 and Tara Charles dished out 10 assists, but the Lady Paladins committed 24 turnovers, which led to 28 points for the Tigers.

The Tigers shut Brock down in the second half, when they broke open what had been a close game. She scored just two points in the second half.
