WORCESTER, Massachusetts (Ticker) -- Janelle McManus scored 17 points and Becky Gottstein added 15 as No. 19 Boston College hammered intrastate rival Holy Cross, 95-57. Danielle O'Banion and Amber Jacobs scored 11 apiece and Rachel Byars finished with 10 for Boston College (3-1). The Eagles shot 57 percent from the field and were lethal from 3-point range, making 9-of-13 shots from beyond the arc. Holy Cross (1-4) hung around for a half, trailing 44-33 at the break. But Boston College made 20-of-31 shots over the final 20 minutes. While the Eagles were scorching the nets, the Crusaders went cold, making just 6-of-29 attempts. Jeanette Paukert led Holy Cross with 13 points and three steals. The Crusaders committed 15 turnovers but were hurt even more on the glass, where Boston College held a 47-24 edge. Ten different Eagles scored at least four points and all played at least seven minutes.
