STARKVILLE, Miss. -- LaToya Thomas scored 24 points as No. 16 Mississippi State beat Southern University 90-48 on Tuesday night for its 15th consecutive victory in a home opener. Thomas reached double figures in scoring for the 36th consecutive game to help Mississippi State improve to 3-1. Jennifer Fambrough added 17 points for the Bulldogs, who raced to a 19-4 lead and shot 51 percent from the field. Seneca Anderson and Cynthia Hall each scored 12 points.
