DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Freshman Alana Beard had 13 points, six
assists and five steals as third-ranked Duke beat mistake-prone
Toledo 71-41 Sunday to win the Duke Women's Classic for the ninth
year in a row.
Duke (7-0) won for the fifth time in eight days.

Duke's Georgia Schweitzer had nine points, six assists and five
steals, and was the tournament most valuable player. She was 3-for-4 from 3-point range.
Courtney Risinger led Toledo (2-1) with 10 points, but hit just
three of 15 shots and had six turnovers. Toledo had 27 turnovers
and shot just 21 percent from the field, including 6-for-26 from
3-point range.
Duke shot 46 percent from the field, including 5-for-14 from
3-point range, and had 23 assists.
Duke led by as much as 47-15 early in the second half and took
its biggest lead at 65-31 following Beard's last basket with 7:27
left.
Beard had four steals in the first 15 minutes -- turning three
into breakaway baskets -- as Duke built a 36-13 halftime lead.
Toledo had 18 turnovers in the first half and hit just four of
24 shots.
