Offense and schedule will stop TCU's playoff push

Everybody starts the season undefeated, but the cruel reality of college football is that only a handful of teams have a legitimate chance of winning the 2017 College Football Playoff.

TCU would seem to be a team that can qualify as a CFP sleeper. It's tied for second among Power 5 teams in returning starters (17) and landed a spot in the top 20 of ESPN's preseason Football Power Index (FPI).

As notable as those elements are, the reality is that many factors will keep the Horned Frogs from becoming a CFP contender in 2017.
