By the middle of November, there was a strong case to be made for Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts to be a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender.
However, by season's end, Hurts had regressed enough that he didn't earn a single vote.
Which Hurts should we expect to see in the 2017 season? He could be a much different player than the one we saw in the 2016 campaign, which could have as much to do with tweaks to the Crimson Tide's offense as it it does with his development.
