Dabo Swinney expects RB Wayne Gallman back for FSU game

College Football, Clemson Tigers

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said Wednesday he expects running back Wayne Gallman to play next week against Florida State.

Gallman was knocked out of a 24-17 overtime win over NC State last week with a concussion. Swinney said on a conference call with ACC coaches that Gallman was "doing great." The senior leads the Tigers with 90 carries for 489 yards and five touchdowns, and they missed him against NC State after he went out of the game.

"He's just a great football player," Swinney said. "He's our leader at that position, and we really like our other players, but we don't have a lot of experience there. Here's a guy who's played in a lot of big games and has been our workhorse so it [was] definitely a loss for us."
