Don't be surprised if Colorado wins the Pac-12 South

College Football, Colorado Buffaloes

Coming into this season, the Colorado Buffaloes were arguably at the nadir of their more-than-100-year history. From 2011 to 2015, the Buffs won only 14 games, the third-lowest five-year win total since the program joined the Big Seven Conference back in 1949.

That has changed in Year 4 under head coach Mike MacIntyre's leadership. Colorado has a 5-2 record that includes a win at Oregon, a 47-6 demolishing of Oregon State (the Buffaloes' largest conference victory margin since 1992) and a 40-16 win over Arizona State. The latter contest was the first time Colorado tallied a victory over the Sun Devils, a team that had beaten the Buffaloes by a combined 140-60 over the past three seasons.

As great as things have been so far, they could get even better since Colorado has to be considered the favorite to win the Pac-12 South.
