NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Deonte Alexander scored 22 points, hitting six 3-pointers, as Lipscomb cruised to a 76-58 win over Northern Kentucky on Friday night, snapping a three-game skid and splitting the season series.
The Bisons (9-14, 4-8 Atlantic Sun Conference) never trailed while avenging a 67-53 loss to the Norse (8-12, 6-6) on Jan. 11. They took a 45-26 rebounding advantage and a 21-0 edge in second-chance points.
Lipscomb led by 17 before Northern Kentucky closed the first half with eight straight points.
After the Norse, who came in riding a four-game winning streak, got within seven early in the second, the Bisons used a 10-3 spurt to pull away.
Alexander finished 6 of 9 from long range.
Malcolm Smith and Martin Smith scored 11 points apiece for Lipscomb, while Stephen Hurt added nine points and 10 rebounds.
Eshaunte Jones scored 15 points, surpassing 900 points for his career, to pace Northern Kentucky.
