LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Brian Scalabrine rebounded from the worst game of his career, scoring a season-high 22 points, and Brandon Granville became Southern California's all-time leader in assists in a 91-68 victory over Loyola Marymount.

After Scalabrine was held scoreless and fouled out in Tuesday's win over San Diego, the senior forward hit 6-of-11 shots to record his 19th game of 20 or more points in his career.

"We got Brian out of his little lull that he's been in and he played well," Southern California coach Henry Bibby said. "We need him every night at this level for us to be a competitive team."

Granville, who scored 19 points, dished out nine assists to bring his career total to 412, passing Larry Friend (409) into first place on the USC career assist chart.

Desmon Farmer had career-high 14 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans (3-0), who have started the season with three straight victories for the second time in three years. They improved to 38-5 all-time against Loyola Marymount.

"I thought we played better than we had in the two previous games," Bibby said. "We played better defensively and we got some easy baskets."

Robert Davis collected 21 points and Elton Mashack chipped in 15 and eight rebounds for the Lions (1-2), who have lost 20 in a row on the road. They have not won away from home since an 89-73 victory over San Diego on January 21, 1999.

"USC is a very experienced team," LMU coach Steve Aggers said. "They are a top 25 team and they looked like it tonight. They took what we gave them and did very well."

Tyler McClenahan's 3-pointer gave Loyola Marymount an 11-10 lead just under five minutes into the game before the Trojans went on a 13-3 spurt, opening a nine-point advantage on a layup by David Bluthenthal with 10:17 left in the first half.

The Lions pulled within 24-21 on a layup by Davis but Southern Cal answered with an 11-0 burst to take a commanding 14-point advantage with 5:34 before intermission.

Sam Clancy's free throw with 7:12 remaining gave USC its largest lead at 81-49 and the Trojans cruised to their fifth straight win overall and sixth straight at the Sports Arena over the Lions.

Tyler Murphy scored 10 points for USC, which shot 48 percent (29-of-61), including 12-for-24 from 3-point range.

"We didn't defend the three very well," Aggers said. "I felt we did well at taking away their inside game. We were worried about Clancy and Scalabrine. But USC shot well on the perimeter. If you shoot 50 percent from 3-point range, you'll win a lot of games."

Eurskine Robinson scored 11 points for Loyola Marymount, which shot 48 percent (27-for-56).
