BAYAMON, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Jason Collins scored a career-high 19 points as No. 5 Stanford beat Memphis 83-60 on Friday in the semifinals of the Puerto Rico Shootout. Stanford (3-0) will play Georgia in the championship game Saturday. The Bulldogs beat No. 13 Utah 65-60. Casey Jacobsen led Stanford with 22 points. Collins, who had eight rebounds, was 6-for-9 from the field and 7-of-10 from the line. Jarron Collins, Jason's brother, added 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting and had 10 rebounds. Stanford was 25-of-50 from the field, while Memphis was 22-of-62. Stanford also outrebounded Memphis 46-26. "I thought we played pretty well," Stanford coach Mike Montgomery said. "We matched their intensity, but because of our ability to rebound the ball they kind of lost their spirit in the second half." Kelly Wise led Memphis (1-2) with 21 points and seven rebounds. "We knew Wise was a good player so we made it tough to get the ball to him," Montgomery said. "We ran a lot of offensive stuff you had to defend. We got the ball on the wrong side, we passed the ball and moved it smoothly. We tried to play big because we knew they couldn't cover down at the post." Memphis struggled to defend in the first half, getting called for 18 personal fouls to Stanford's eight. Stanford made 21 free throws in the half. "I don't care about the fouls," Memphis coach John Calipari said. "I just wanted them to drive the ball and not settle for jumpers. We're not there yet. The guys aren't taking the ball to the basket. And when you're playing a top five team you can't shoot jumpers. "They don't understand how important possessions are. We're still working against each other and we need to work together. But the kids played hard. They're trying. I'm just disappointed we didn't give ourselves a chance to win this game." | ALSO SEE Mens College Basketball Scoreboard
