CINCINNATI (AP) _ Freshman Erik Daniels, playing in front of his hometown crowd, scored 19 points as No. 22 Kentucky beat Jacksonville State 91-48 on Tuesday night. Kentucky used a 26-0 run late in the first half and early in the second to pull away for their first victory after opening losses to St. John's and UCLA in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Tayshaun Prince and Keith Bogans each scored 14 points. Prince reached double figures for the second consecutive game after scoring just five points in the opener. Jason Parker dominated inside, hitting dunks, layups and jump hooks while going 6-for-6 from the field and scoring 13 points. Marvin Stone returned in the second half from a slight leg injury to score eight of his 10 points. Scott Watson led Jacksonville State (0-3) with 17 points. The Wildcats outscored Jacksonville State 27-6 in the last 11:27 of the first half to open up a 42-17. Prince scored all nine of his first-half points during the run, six on two 3-point shots, and Bogans and Daniels added six each. Kentucky plays one game a season in Cincinnati.
