VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) -- Michael Bradley had 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots and Villanova beat Fairfield 101-85 Tuesday night in the opening round of the Preseason NIT. Bradley, a 6-foot-10, 245-pound center who sat out last season after transferring from Kentucky, was 10-of-12 from the field. Gary Buchanan had 20 points and Aaron Matthews added a career-high 19 for the Wildcats, whose point total was the most since scoring 103 against Florida International in December 1997. Villanova advanced to Friday's quarterfinals and will play at No. 2 Duke, which beat Princeton 87-50. The Wildcats took a 13-3 lead and were never threatened. They led 49-35 at halftime after shooting 18-of-24 from the field and finished at 66 percent (35-for-53) for the game. Villanova led 79-54 with 11 minutes to play, and the lead reached 91-65 at the 6:23 mark.
