Freida Bosh one of several people found by police during drug raid

NBA

DESOTO, Texas -- The mother of NBA free agent Chris Bosh was among the people questioned by police during a drug raid in a Dallas suburb.

A DeSoto police spokesman said Freida Bosh was one of several people found about 6:30 a.m. Friday in the house in a posh gated community in DeSoto. Police Sgt. Nick Bristow said no arrests were made, but enough drug paraphernalia was found to indicate they were used in narcotics trafficking. He said the investigation was continuing.

Bristow said Chris Bosh is listed as the owner of the house but was not among those there Friday.

There was no listed telephone number for Freida Bosh or her son.

Chris Bosh played 13 seasons in the NBA; he is an 11-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion. Plagued by injuries and health issues in recent years, he was cut by the Miami Heat on July 4.

Last month, Bosh told NBA TV that he continues to keep his "options open as a player" but doesn't have an interest in a coaching career.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
