Timofey Mozgov suffers laceration in mouth, possible orbital fracture

INDIANAPOLIS -- Los Angeles Lakers starting center Timofey Mozgov suffered multiple facial injuries in Tuesday's 115-108 loss to the Indiana Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. He was ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Hawks in Atlanta.

Mozgov received four stitches following the game to repair a laceration in his mouth after taking an elbow to the face. He had a CT scan Wednesday in Atlanta to determine if he suffered an orbital fracture after being poked in the left eye. The Lakers said results were inconclusive.

After Tuesday's game, Lakers coach Luke Walton remarked that Mozgov's swollen face made it appear as though he had been in a "heavyweight fight."

Mozgov finished with six points and five rebounds in about 19 minutes against the Pacers as the Lakers fell to 1-3.
