Kevin Garnett will retire as without a doubt the best player in Minnesota Timberwolves history. He is the franchise's all-time leader in almost every major statistical category.

How rare is it for one player to be a team's all-time leader in all of those categories? Garnett and Michael Jordan are the only players to lead any current NBA franchise in all-time points, rebounds and assists. And while Jordan is also the Bulls' all-time leader in steals, he is second in blocks behind Artis Gilmore. That makes Garnett the only player to be a franchise's all-time leader in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks.

The Timberwolves franchise has been around for 28 seasons -- 14 with Garnett on the team, 14 without him. While they made the playoffs in eight of the 14 seasons with Garnett, the Wolves have never made the postseason without Garnett. The franchise had a record of 513-457 (.529 win percentage) in games Garnett played in and 334-862 (.279) without him.

Garnett won the MVP award in 2003-04 with the Wolves and the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2007-08 with the Celtics. He is one of four players in NBA history to win both awards.
