Hawks center Dwight Howard was hospitalized Sunday night after feeling ill on a long plane flight to Atlanta, according to multiple reports.
Dehydration is believed to be the cause, and Howard, 30, was released Monday morning, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Howard had been in China last week as part of a promotional tour with Chinese shoe manufacturer Peak.
The 12-year veteran also posted several videos to social media that showed him working out with a personal shooting coach while abroad.
An Atlanta native, Howard signed a three-year, $70.5 million deal with the Hawks this offseason after playing three seasons in Houston.
