Sources: Jason Smith agrees to 3-year, $16M deal with Wizards

Jason Smith has agreed to terms with the Washington Wizards on a three-year, $16 million deal, sources told ESPN.

Smith, 30, will provide a veteran backup presence on the Wizards front line.

Smith averaged 7.2 points and 2.9 rebounds for the Orlando Magic last season, his eighth in the league. He has also played for New Orleans, Philadelphia and the New York Knicks.

He was selected in the first round of the 2007 NBA draft by the Miami Heat.
