The Cincinnati Reds have released outfielder Ben Revere from his minor league contract, the team announced Sunday.
Revere hit .124 with two RBIs in 12 at-bats this spring. He had signed with the Reds last month.
Revere, 29, played for the Los Angeles Angels last season, hitting .275 with one home run, 20 RBIs and 21 steals in 109 games.
