Report: Zack Greinke to undergo MRI after having shoulder stiffness

Arizona Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke is questionable to make his final two starts of the season after experiencing shoulder stiffness after Wednesday's game against the San Diego Padres, the Arizona Republic has reported, citing manager Chip Hale.

While the Diamondbacks traveled to Baltimore for a three-game series with the Orioles, Greinke returned to Arizona and was set to have an MRI on Friday, Hale said, according to the Republic.

The right-hander missed more than a month before returning Aug. 3 because of tightness in his left oblique, an injury he suffered while batting in late June.

Greinke is 13-7 with a 4.37 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in his first season with the Diamondbacks after signing a six-year, $206.5 million contract in the offseason.
