A look at what's happening all around the majors Tuesday: --- BOCHY EXPECTED BACK The Giants expect manager Bruce Bochy back following one night in a Miami hospital. San Francisco did not specify what sent the 61-year-old Bochy to the hospital Monday morning. The team said in a statement he was "resting comfortably" and would be monitored overnight. Bochy underwent a heart procedure in February 2015 to insert two stents. A-ROD IN BEANTOWN Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees begin a three-game series at Boston. A-Rod announced he will play his final game with New York at home on Friday, and it's unclear if he'll start at all this week at Fenway Park. Rodriguez is a .287 career hitter at Fenway, with 29 homers in 131 games. Right-hander Rick Porcello (14-3, 3.46 ERA) pitches for Boston. He is 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts against the Yankees this season. Luis Severino (1-6, 6.02) makes his first start for New York since May 13. INNINGS EATER In an interleague matchup between division leaders, Max Scherzer (12-6, 2.87 ERA) tries to chew up more innings for the Nationals against Cleveland. Scherzer is 3-0 while pitching at least seven innings in each of his past five starts, and he entered Monday with 156 2/3 innings -- second in the majors to Giants lefty Madison Bumgarner. Trevor Bauer (7-5, 4.08) is 0-3 in five starts with an 8.37 ERA since his eight-start unbeaten streak ended. STILL SEEKING NO. 15 White Sox lefty Chris Sale (14-5, 3.12 ERA) can become the second AL pitcher with 15 wins when Chicago plays at Kansas City. Sale has allowed two runs or fewer in three straight starts while throwing 22 innings, but hasn't won since July 2. Edinson Volquez (8-10, 4.99) is up for the Royals. IN THE ZONE Dodgers right-hander Kenta Maeda (10-8, 3.22 ERA) hasn't walked a batter since July 17, a span of 17 2/3 innings, and he'll take that streak into a start against Philadelphia. Vince Velasquez (8-3, 3.33) pitches for the Phillies, who have lost his last four starts despite a 3.38 ERA.
