 Front offices always have tough decisions to make. Whether or not those decision-makers choose to acknowledge it, smart choices will separate the wheat from the chaff.
With the end of April now in sight, it gets harder to chalk up the problems to an early-season slump. Cutting bait on a player -- a release, a trade or simply a benching -- is easier said than done. But sometimes it's necessary for the team's future, whether that team is contending now or rebuilding so it can contend later.
