67. Boozer meets Moye
Indiana trailed by as many as 17 points in its 2002 Sweet 16 game against top seed Duke. With 5:23 remaining, as the Hoosiers mounted a furious comeback, 6-8 Carlos Boozer went in for what he thought was an uncontested layup. That is until 6-3 A.J. Moye met the taller and stronger Boozer at the rim and got all ball. Boozer had another opportunity at the rim go wrong at the end of the game. With 4.2 seconds remaining and the Hoosiers up four, Dane Fife fouled Jason Williams in the act of making a 3. Williams went to the line with a chance to tie the score. He missed, as did Boozer after collecting the offensive rebound. As IU head coach Mike Davis said afterward: "We messed up a lot of brackets." -- John Gasaway
