15. Memphis
With renowned trainer Frank Matrisciano around, the Tigers should be one of the most athletic and well-conditioned teams in the country. But Memphis can't rely on athleticism alone. The talent of Adonis Thomas, Joe Jackson, Tarik Black, Chris Crawford and newcomer Shaq Goodwin must prove to be a more disciplined defensive unit. The ability to score in the open court won't be in question. How this team defends when the game matters most will determine its March fate. Memphis probably will win Conference USA one final time, but it would be wise to get momentum with an NCAA run as it heads off to the new world of the Big East. The Tigers haven't won an NCAA tourney game under Josh Pastner and the hungry fan base would like for that to change this season. With the talent on hand, it should. -- Andy Katz
