CGD Eco Challenge

Recycling: For FY2011, TAMU diverted 49.9 percent of all our waste from the landfill. Utilities and Energy Service's recycling program continues to grow with the help of a $123,500 grant from the Aggie Green Fund to install 19 solar-powered, three-stream waste and recycling containers on main and west campus. These Big Belly containers are used to collect waste and to recycle paper, and plastic and aluminum. There are currently 40 Big Belly solar-powered recycling containers on campus.
