Fight Credential

Consistency
It has been a while since we've seen either of these fighters lose a round, but recently Martinez has danced on that edge more often than Chavez. Granted, the level of opposition that Martinez has faced is considerably higher than that of Chavez. Still, "Maravilla" has been vexed by several notorious ups and downs, especially in his past two fights against fighters who, as good as they were, would have been dismissed as untested contenders had they been matched with Chavez. (Legitimacy is in the eye of the beholder, people.) A tough call in a tough category, though.
Advantage: Chavez
