4. Connecticut
The Huskies were already a top-10 team when it was known that Jeremy Lamb, Alex Oriakhi, Shabazz Napier, Roscoe Smith and newcomers Ryan Boatright and DeAndre Daniels were set to be the core of the team. Then UConn added the top big man in the country in Andre Drummond in August. That automatically made the Huskies a top-four team and gave them a real chance to repeat as national champs. Connecticut has shooters, big men who can board and score in the post, two change-of-pace point guards and length on the defensive end. The only thing missing is an experienced go-to player and someone who will be the voice when the game is on the line. The nonconference schedule is incredibly weak, but UConn should have a gaudy record and will be in contention for the Big East and national titles. -- Andy Katz
