19. West Virginia
The Mountaineers had a summer to forget, what with the nasty turn the Dana Holgorsen-Bill Stewart relationship took. Holgorsen is now firmly in charge as head coach and offensive coordinator, and the expectations have been ratcheted up in Morgantown for a return to past offensive glory. With Geno Smith returning at quarterback, many believe the Mountaineers can put up big-time numbers last seen when Rich Rodriguez was in charge. Smith has the most potential to become the breakout star the Big East so desperately needs, and he has a strong group of receivers to help him out. Defensively, only four starters return, but watch for defensive end Bruce Irvin, who becomes a full-time starter after racking up 14 sacks last season.
