Drew Brees
New Orleans Saints | Super Bowl XLIVDestiny. Is there any other word to describe Drew Brees' 2009 season? We should have seen it from his first game of the regular season, when Brees threw six TD passes; or maybe when he set the NFL record for completion percentage. No, not until the Saints marched past the Vikings and into the Super Bowl did it really begin to sink in. The final test was beating the Colts for the title. But not even Indianapolis could stop Brees with his Super Bowl-tying 32 completions. The rest is history: The Saints won the game 31-17, New Orleans got its first Lombardi Trophy and Brees claimed MVP.
