Gary Patterson
Head coach | TCUHe said it would take three to five years. He wasn't lying. Patterson guided TCU to a Big 12 co-championship in his third year in the conference, winning 11 games with the same cast of players that went 4-8 a year ago. He did so by finding the perfect offensive coordinators (Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie) to install an Air Raid and turn Trevone Boykin into the Big 12's best QB. Under Patterson's leadership, the Frogs survived a brutal stretch of five ranked foes in six weeks and came oh-so-close to a College Football Playoff bid. In his 14 years as head coach, TCU has now won titles in three different conferences. -- Max Olson
