Andre Wiliams
Running back | Boston CollegeWilliams, much like his team, was one of the country's biggest surprises, as he helped lift Boston College back to respectability and a bowl game with his Heisman-worthy numbers. As the school's first winner of the Doak Walker Award, Williams had 329 rushing attempts for 2,102 yards and 17 touchdowns. His total yards gave him the ninth-best rushing season in history. He leads the nation in most rushing categories, including yards per game (175.2), 200-yard games (five) and 250-yard games (four). Equally impressive, he graduated a semester early with a degree in applied psychology and human development. -- Heather Dinich
