Sara Errani reaches doubles final

PARIS -- Sara Errani is enjoying quite a successful French Open.

Already into her first Grand Slam semifinal in singles, Errani teamed with Roberta Vinci to beat Nuria Llagostera Vives and Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-4, 6-2 on Wednesday and reach the women's doubles final at Roland Garros.

Errani and Vinci, the runners-up at the Australian Open in January, will bid for their first major title together when they face defending champions Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka or Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova in the final.

That second semifinal was suspended because of darkness Wednesday, tied at a set apiece. Hlavackova and Hradecka won the first set 6-4. Kirilenko and Petrova took the second 7-5.

Errani plays U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur in the singles semifinals Thursday.

In mixed doubles, 2009 Australian Open champions Sania Mirza and Mahesh Bhupathi will meet the unseeded pair of Klaudia Jans-Ignacik of Poland and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico in Thursday's final.

Mirza and Bhupathi beat Galina Voskoboeva and Daniele Bracciali 6-4, 6-2. In Wednesday's other semifinal, Jans-Ignacik and Gonzalez eliminated Elena Vesnina and Leander Paes 7-6 (2), 6-3.
