The Eliminator Challenge on ESPN.com lets you pick one NFL team each week. If that team wins, you move onto the next round, but you can no longer use that team again. If your team loses, your entry is eliminated. The best plays will be recommended below using ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI), Vegas odds and ownership percentages.
This week is the toughest Eliminator Challenge week in recent memory, as FPI doesn't have a single team with a 70 percent chance to win, the first time that has been the case since FPI began predicting games in 2008. It's also the first time that no team is favored by at least seven points according to the Vegas lines since Week 1 of 2010.
The biggest FPI favorite this week is Denver, but the Broncos are coming off a Monday Night Football game, and facing a Chargers team that beat them just two weeks ago. The biggest Vegas favorite is New England, but the Patriots already lost this season to Buffalo, and FPI views that game as a virtual coin flip.
As a result, throw out all the typical ground rules about Eliminator Challenge. Road teams and teams in divisional games or coming off short weeks are in play.
