Matchup: Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals

Spread: Opened Arizona -1; now Arizona -1
Total: Opened 43.5; now 44
PickCenter public consensus pick: 63 percent Seattle

Public perception: The public is siding with the Seahawks as they've won three straight after their annual loss to the Rams. This is a little surprising, as the Cardinals seem to have turned around their season with two straight convincing victories.

Wiseguys' view: Sharps are split on this game, as the line has hardly budged the past week. These teams are seen as pretty equal, and Seattle will probably be the most popular underdog teaser play of the week.

Dave Tuley's take: This is a key game in the NFC West race, as the Cardinals need to keep from falling three games behind in the loss column. But I'm not just picking them because of their nearly must-win situation. The Cardinals' offense is really starting to click now, not only with the passing game (and I certainly prefer Carson Palmer in the starting lineup), but with David Johnson's emergence as a top running back. Now, I know the Seahawks have the No. 3 rushing defense with just 74.6 yards allowed per game, but this reminds me of the Dallas-Green Bay tilt two weeks ago, when everyone was talking about the Packers' No. 1 run defense and then the Cowboys ran for 191 yards. The Cardinals might not run for that much, but they should have enough success to slow down the Seahawks' pass rush. On the other side of the ball, Russell Wilson has been running for his life, and it won't get easier against the Arizona pass rush.

The pick: Cardinals -1*
