LOS ANGELES -- Chester Bennington, the lead singer of two-time Grammy Awards winning Linkin Park, said his band and style of music is a perfect fit for the X Games. On Friday night at 11 p.m. PT, the band plus special guests will perform an exclusive musical performance at X Games Los Angeles 2012 to introduce the addition of music as a permanent cultural element to the X Games brand in 2013.
"I think our music has always been where you get up and jump around and you're just not standing there listening to the music. We're the kind of music you work out in the gym [to]," said Bennington of the California group formed in 1996 and has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. "I think the energy of our shows is the same energy you see in action sports. Everyone is moving."
