JOHANNESBURG -- The World Cup has brought out thousands of diehard soccer fans, but it appears one fan took things a little too far.

Colombian police seized a replica World Cup trophy that was made entirely from cocaine in a warehouse at the Bogota airport on Sunday. Authorities say the statue was headed for Madrid.

A celebratory gift, perhaps?

The cocaine cup -- isn't that catchy? -- was described as being a foot tall and painted gold. Officials said laboratory tests revealed that 24 pounds of cocaine was used to make the piece, and the sculptor likely used acetone and petrol to mold it into form. Hey, we all have our special talents, but I see cocaine artwork as being a very niche field.

Besides, it could be worse. At least this artist didn't try to make a Stanley Cup.
