WHISTLER, British Columbia -- It must be hell running alpine events.
Saturday dawned crisp and mostly sunny at Whistler but because of soft conditions caused by overnight rain and warm temperatures, the men's downhill was postponed to Monday morning when the weather is supposed to improve (get colder).
The women's super-combined, scheduled for Sunday, has also been postponed to a day to be determined. The training run for the women's downhill has been scheduled for Sunday at 11.
