ARLINGTON, Va. -- Believe Jurgen Klinsmann when he says that Landon Donovan isn't a lock to be included on next month's national team roster.

The U.S. coach, speaking to reporters from major media outlets at a hotel just outside Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, believes "there are still a lot of questions" to be answered before the Yanks' all-time scoring leader can rejoin the squad after a self-imposed, four-month sabbatical during which he missed the Americans' first three World Cup qualifiers of 2013.

Donovan returned to the L.A. Galaxy last month. Last weekend, with Klinsmann and his staff in attendance at the Home Depot Center, he looked like the Donovan of old, scoring one goal and setting up another in a 2-0 win over a Sporting Kansas City side that fielded recent U.S. starters Matt Besler and Graham Zusi.
