Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz seems to bring his best when the stakes are high, including under the prime-time lights of Sunday Night Baseball.

Ortiz’s 59 career RBIs on Sunday Night are more than any other player since ESPN began broadcasting the event in 1990. His 20 home runs are tied with Albert Pujols for second most, trailing only Alex Rodriguez, who had 22.

Sunday could be the last appearance on Sunday Night Baseball for Big Papi, who plans to retire at the end of the season. Here are some of his best moments.

Aug. 24, 2003

Ortiz cracked a three-run home run off of Ryan Franklin in the fourth inning to cap off a six-run inning for the Red Sox. Boston defeated the Mariners 6-1.

May 29, 2005

Against Boston’s archrival, Ortiz went 4-for-5 with two home runs, the third multihomer game versus the Yankees in his career. It was also the first career four-hit game against the Bronx Bombers of his career.

May 8, 2016

Earlier this season, Ortiz had another multihomer game against the Yankees -- the fifth of his career versus New York. Overall, it was Ortiz’s 51st career multihomer game. Only 12 players have more such games.

July 26, 2015

Last year, Ortiz knocked in seven runs, the most in any game in his 2,377-game career, against the Tigers. It was just the second time in his career that Papi hit a pair of three-run homers in the same game and first since Aug. 12, 2008, against the Rangers. Ortiz hasn’t done that since.

June 8, 2014

Ortiz never recorded a walk-off RBI in his career on Sunday Night, but he did smack a go-ahead 422-foot home run in the ninth inning off of Joba Chamberlain two seasons ago. The three-run shot proved to be the game-winner. It was the second homer Chamberlain had allowed to Ortiz in his career, tied for his most versus any hitter.
