Chaminade-Julienne (Dayton, Ohio) linebacker Ja'mel Sanders had a great time when he visited Cincinnati's campus this summer with teammate Darrien Howard. The best part of his trip, though?"They gave us some exclusive Gatorade," said Sanders, a Class of 2013 outside linebacker. "It was some protein milkshake. It was chocolate. I never had it before."While Sanders' recruitment likely won't come down to supplements and soft drinks, he did enjoy his visit to Cincinnati."It was cool, they showed us some of the facilities," he said.On Oct. 15, Sanders will drive down to Cincinnati for the Bearcats' game against Louisville, which is being held at Paul Brown Stadium, home of the Cincinnati Bengals.Howard is one of the top junior linebackers in Ohio, and Sanders does his best to funnel plays to his hard-hitting middle linebacker."Keeping the edge and forcing everything inside to Howard," Sanders said was among his biggest strengths. "Just making plays on the outside and forcing fumbles."Indiana invited Sanders to its game Saturday against Penn State, but Chaminade-Julienne's homecoming is on the same day. Sanders hopes to make it to an Indiana game before the season ends.Alabama, Michigan and Wisconsin are the other schools that have sent Sanders mail that he is interested in. Sanders was a Michigan fan growing up before his dad, a rabid Ohio State fan, turned him to the Scarlet and Gray.
