Three-star Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy receiver Austin Jones camped at three BCS schools this summer, but he's still waiting on his first BCS offer as he prepares for his senior season."I visited Virginia Tech this summer, UC (Cincinnati) and Kentucky," Jones said. "I did a camp at all three of those."Jones said Virginia Tech told him it was close to offering when he went down for the camp, but, upon returning home, the Hokies said they were going in another direction.Cincinnati and Kentucky are still keeping an eye on Jones, who is frustrated his 63 catches for 1,187 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior weren't enough to garner more attention from Football Bowl Subdivision schools. His only offer is from Toledo."They're telling me they're waiting to see what I do this year, because I go to a smaller school," Jones said.Born in the Columbus suburbs, Jones' family moved south to Cincinnati when he was four. Jones loves the city but might want to get away for college."I might want to try something new," he said. "But I love the coaches down there (at Cincinnati). They have really nice facilities, and I liked the feel of the campus."Jones will be playing a lot more on the outside this season after spending all of last year as the slot receiver. At 6-foot-2 and 172 pounds, Jones has the size to be an effective playmaker outside of the numbers."I'm excited to play on the outside since I haven't played it ever in a game," he said.Jones has good quickness and body control on deep balls, but it is preparation, he says, that sets him apart from other receivers."I know how to read coverages between man and zone, and I know how to get open," he said. "I think I study a lot more film than the rest of the receivers."
