Four-star receiver Monty Madaris of Cincinnati Moeller could be the next recruit from the Buckeye State to head north to play for new Michigan coach Brady Hoke. But that's only if the team that finished No. 1 in ESPNU's Class of 2011 rankings doesn't snatch him up first.Madaris, ranked by ESPNU as the No. 30 receiver in the country, said Monday he didn't have a favorite among his 17 offers, but the two schools he mentioned specifically were Michigan and Florida State, which has become a recruiting power once again under second-year coach Jimbo Fisher."Florida State stuck out a lot," Madaris said. "The coaching staff, I know they want to win, and they're going to have a good season this year."This summer Madaris traveled south to Tallahassee, Fla., to visit Florida State. The Seminoles offered Madaris as a receiver, but Fisher and Madaris discussed the possibility of playing a little running back and handling some Wildcat duties, too.The old regime at Michigan visited Madaris at school last season, but the new staff didn't offer him until July. Assistant Mark Smith, Madaris' lead recruiter, kept in touch with him for the last several months, though, keeping the Wolverines among Madaris' schools of interest. Madaris said he's still "unfamiliar" with Hoke.Madaris has taken notice of what the Wolverines have been doing in Ohio, too. The Wolverines have 10 commitments from Ohio, including four of the state's top 10 players."I like the recruits they're bringing in," Madaris said. "Michigan's a great school with just as much tradition as Ohio State."
