Cornerback Kaleb Humphrey (Indianapolis/Warren Central) is currently sitting on only two offers, but that could change after Saturday's showdown against Cathedral (Indianapolis), which will be shown at 4 p.m. ET on ESPNU.The Indiana coaching staff has been in contact with Humphrey recently, and Humphrey said the Hoosiers will be watching him closely against Cathedral."I like IU a lot, so that's going to be a little extra motivation," Humphrey said.Working to Humphrey's advantage is Warren Central's front four. All four starters along the defensive line will be playing at a Football Bowl Subdivision program next fall. If the Warriors' defensive front can put pressure on Cathedral's first-year quarterback Corey Babb, who was sacked five times in the opener, it could force him to make a few errant passes in Humphrey's direction, which could allow Humphrey to make the big play to make the needed impression on the Indiana staff.The Hoosiers don't have any cornerbacks committed right now and only secured two in last year's class, so they will have to bring in at least another two or three in this class.Undersized at 5-foot-8 and 165 pounds, Humphrey has offers from only Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. Three former Warren Central players are already at Western Kentucky, including fellow defensive back Eric Robinson-Berry.Humphrey said he will be patient and let the process play out, but he likes the idea of joining his teammates at Western Kentucky."With getting settled and being the new guy on campus, it really helps to have some people you know there," Humphrey said.
