The start of his high school football season is only two weeks away, but defensive tackle Tyrique Jarrett of Pittsburgh Taylor Allderdice plans on visiting one more college before his first game on Sept. 2."I'm still going to go visit West Virginia before the season starts," Jarrett said. "I'm going to go with my coach for an unofficial visit."The Mountaineers currently aren't in his top four, but Jarrett, a three-star prospect and the No. 66 ranked tackle, admits that is likely to change after the visit, as he's "definitely interested" in West Virginia. At the moment, Jarrett, who is 6-foot-4 and 334 pounds, doesn't have a favorite, but likes nearby Pitt, Cincinnati, Connecticut and Virginia Tech, although the Hokies have yet to offer Jarrett since visiting him at school back in June, leaving Jarrett a little disappointed."I haven't been in contact with them at all. I thought they would have contacted me," said Jarrett, who also holds offers from Temple, Akron and a handful of Football Championship Subdivision schools.Much like West Virginia, Jarrett still hasn't seen Cincinnati or Connecticut, but the recent success of each program has him intrigued. He's unofficially visited only Pitt, Penn State and Toledo so far and has not set up any official visits."(Connecticut) are the defending (Big East) champs so they have a good team," Jarrett said, "and I want to be a winner."I don't know much about Cincinnati, but I know they have great facilities."Location isn't a factor for Jarrett, who even said it would be nice to get away from Pittsburgh and go to college in a different part of the country. He said being the hometown team doesn't hurt Pitt's chances, though."I want to go out and experience the real world and go far," Jarrett said. "It would be beneficial for me to experience college somewhere else other than Pittsburgh because I know Pittsburgh."Jarrett will not make a decision until after his senior season.
