Darryl Render (Lakewood, Ohio/Saint Edward) hasn't trimmed his list yet, but the three-star prospect who already has 13 offers now has a better idea of where he might be taking his official visits. Render spent the weekend traveling south from his northern Ohio home for unofficial visits to Cincinnati, Louisville and Vanderbilt. At Cincinnati, Render came away very impressed with the culture and pride surrounding the program."It's really football oriented down there, and the facilities are amazing," Render said. "Football is right in the middle of everything."At Louisville, Render got to spend some time with coach Charlie Strong, who Render called really "laid back."Render is intrigued by the fact that Vanderbilt coach James Franklin spent some time as an assistant in the NFL, coaching the Green Bay receivers for a season. Vanderbilt's academics are also a big factor for Render, who plans to pursue a degree in studio art or graphic design. All three of those schools, as well as Pitt and Iowa, will probably be Render's destinations for his official visits, although nothing has been set as of yet. Iowa is the only school who has offered that Render hasn't visited. "I would love to commit before the season but the way it's looking I don't know if I'm going to be able to do that," he said. "As soon as I have a decision I'm comfortable with I'll make it."
