Russell Wilson limited at practice with new pectoral injury

RENTON, Wash. -- Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was limited during Wednesday's practice with a knee injury and a right pectoral injury.

The knee injury stems from the sprained MCL he suffered in Week 3. But the pectoral issue is new. It's Wilson's third injury of the season. He also suffered a right high ankle sprain in Week 1.

This is the first time in Wilson's career that he has been listed as anything but a full participant for a practice. He has never missed a game in his NFL career.

Wilson's injuries have been a major story line with the Seahawks all season. Coach Pete Carroll has praised him heavily for the work he's done to get ready to play. Carroll said the knee injury would have sidelined a lot of players for three or four weeks.

But Wilson has not been the same running threat that he usually is. He has 33 rushing yards on 22 carries on the season.

And now Wilson has a new injury to deal with as the team prepares for its match-up against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
